About the Item
Authentic, preowned, vintage Bonnie Cashin for Sills red leather jacket, circa the early 60s.
An incredibly rare style from the mother of modern American sportswear! Made from red leather, it features Dolman sleeves, a shawl collar, elasticized sleeves and waist with peplum, pearlized snaps - all forward thinking elements for the time, but so very typical of Bonnie Cashin's brilliance and ingenuity throughout her career.
A lightweight and easy-to-style jacket that's perfect for the spring and summer!
Made in the USA. Leather clean only. Lined. No size tag, but fits like modern S/M. Approximate measurements, taken flat and doubled where appropriate: shoulders - 15.5in, bust - 34in to 38in, waist - 24in to 30in, shoulder to hem - 23in, sleeves - 25in.
Preowned/vintage (50+ years old) with signs of prior use & wear: slight darkening to red leather in places, hard to see when wearing (and even harder to photograph) but evident if inspecting closely under bright light. Tagged Bonnie Cashin for Sills.
